Project: Developer plans to use recycled waste vegetable oil, brown grease, poultry fat and/or other animal fat feedstock’s all of which begin their life as hazardous waste, to produce ASTM-6751 grade Biodiesel and Technical Grade Glycerin.

Processing Plant: The proposed Plant will have a Plated Capacity of 25 MM Gallon/Annum. It will produce 99% yield Methyl Ester from fatty acids, mono, di and tri-glycerides with only 1% loss. Normal Feedstock Flow Rate (Input): 250 TPD. In addition to Biodiesel, the plant will produce approximately 2.5 MM Gallons per Annum of 99.7% pure Technical Grade Glycerin.

Technology: Fluid Conversion Technology offers many advantages over traditional methods, for instance, reducing conversion time down to minutes rather than hours. It also allows for the lowest grade of fats with fatty acid range between 0 to 100 percent to be processed economically, therefore, allowing Developer to be the lowest cost provider of biodiesel under ASTM standards

Plant Location: The plant is to be located in Houston (TX), close to feedstock providers as well as to the refiners and marketers along the Ship Channel or its waterways. Proximity to feedstock is a key factor as it is being in close proximity to the ultimate purchaser of bio-fuels and technical grade glycerin.

Feedstock of choice:

  • Yellow Grease (Used Cooking Oil)
  • Brown/Trap Grease, including wastewater sludge
  • Tallow, poultry fat and/or other animal fat

End Products and Services:

  • Biodiesel HythanolPLUS
  • Renewable Identification Numbers (RINS)
  • Glycerin (Technical Grade)

Financial Appraisal: Total cost of the project is estimated to be USD 55 Million, including land purchase and initial working capital. Construction time 18 months. Financial operating results for the first five years are provided below:
